Mount Saint Agnes Academy elementary students started Mother’s Day celebrations early with a prayer service, followed by Muffins with Mom, on Friday, May 8.

The prayer service, presided over by Father Paul Voisin, was an opportunity to bless all mothers, including a statue of Mary, our heavenly mother. Flowers, donated by Amaral Farms and created by seventh grade students, were used to adorn Mary.

Following the Crowning of Mary, tributes were paid to mothers using photos, written messages, songs and poems. Student artwork from each class created in appreciation of mothers was also displayed.

A Muffins with Mom reception was held after thanks to the generous contribution of faculty and staff.
