Cricket inquiry: Six to appear before BCBC
many as six members of the recent Bermuda ICC team that travelled to Malaysia.
The conduct of the players came into question during the tournament and some of the players have already appeared before a BCBC disciplinary committee.
Del Hollis, who has been in Scotland for the last few weeks, has returned to Bermuda at the board's request. The other five are understood to be Charlie Marshall, Glenn Blakeney, Kevin Hurdle, Corey Hill and Kameron Fox.
It is not known what offences the players are charged with. All six were missing from the Bermuda team which met the touring Indian Test side recently.
Reports from coaches Allan Douglas and Australian Bobby Simpson and tour manager Rudolph Lawrence have been submitted.
The Bermuda team failed to advance past the preliminary round and eventually finished ninth overall after winning the consolation final.
An independent three-man committee, chaired by lawyer Michael Mello, is looking into allegations of marijuana smoking by two Bermuda players in a hotel room. The identity of those two players has not been disclosed.
BCBC president Ed Bailey declined to comment yesterday, referring inquiries to Mello who has also refused to comment. The other members of the board of inquiry are Postmaster General Clevelyn Crichlow and Police Supt. Campbell Simons, a former Cup Match captain.
