A man accused of a hit-and-run while impaired appeared this morning in Magistrates’ Court.

Patrick Richardson Jr, 26, of Duck’s Puddle, Hamilton Parish was not required to enter a plea, as his charges are indictable and must be heard before the Supreme Court.

He was accused of failing to stop after an accident as well as not holding a valid driver’s licence.

Additionally he was charged with unlawfully killing La-Nae Woodley or alternatively with causing her death while driving a vehicle on Middle Road, Paget while his ability to drive was impaired.

Mr Richardson, who was represented by defence lawyer Kamal Worrell, was further charged with causing grievous bodily harm to Deirdre Morgan.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo offered bail of $20,000, setting a May 11 court appearance and ordering Mr Richardson to surrender his travel documents.
