Asthma in our children

While there are no official statistics for the incidence of asthma in children in Bermuda, Liz Boden of Open Airways said in her experience the condition is prevalent. She estimates that it hits:
[bul] One in every four pre-schoolers.
[bul] One in five or one in seven, primary school and high school students.
Ms Boden said that the occurrence is higher in younger children because their respiratory systems are still developing. Some of these children will out grow the disease as their systems become stronger and develop as they should.
