Motocross titles up for grabs
Motocross racing at the Southside track on New Year's Day and Sunday will decide category champions for the three-day holiday series.
Many of categories are still up for grabs including those with Canadian females Ami Houde and Whitney Louden.
The third Canadian rider, Dylan Kaelin, won all three of his motos on Tuesday's first meet to take a commanding lead in his category.
Bermuda Motocross Association (BMA) president Gannon Trott expects exciting racing from the pee wees right up to the 250cc class.
"It is still the holiday racing series going on and the first race day was excellent," said Trott. "The weather held up well and the smaller riders held their own while the bigger bikes did their best to conquer the course.
"There are two race days this weekend so I am looking to see even more exciting racing come Friday and Sunday.
"The Canadian guy, Dylan, won all three motos he was in while Ami came fourth overall and Whitney came third overall in their section, so it is going to be interesting to see what happens.
"They have had more time during the week to get used to the bikes they are riding and fine tuning them so fans could be in for a treat."
Racing starts 12 p.m. on both days. Admission for children is $5 and $10 for adults.
