Q: What is actress Salma Hayek doing? — M.F.

A: She’s about to start filming Keep Comingck<$>, in which she plays a stripper with a teenage fan, directed by and co-starring William H. Macy. She then plans to produce and star in a comedy set in Mexico called Landa<$>, playing a housewife who performs in a band that plays at weddings.

Q: I was wondering if any decision has been made about wher Deadwood will return for another season. It ended last year with questions left unanswered. We love the show and hope for a return. — C.H.

A: The show as a regular series is finished, but HBO has dangled the possibility of concluding the story with two two-hour movies. It’s still up in the air, however, whether those will really get puced.

Q: Is my favourite actor, Adrien Brody, going to be giving any feature performances soon? I haven’t seen him in a while. — R.F.

A:<$> Yes; he stars as one of the actors playing Bob Dylan in the forthcoming unusual Dylan biopic I’m Not There, and as the famous Spanish bullfighter Manolete in the upcoming film of the same name. And he’s currently filming writer/director Wes Anderson’s comedrama The Darjeeling Limited<$>, with Owen Wilson and Natalie Portman.

Q: Whatever happened to Delta Burke? Is she still acting? — A.S

A: Yes, indeed. She’s set to co-star with a stellar female cast, including Carol Burnett and Joan Cusack, in tcomedy The Last Guy on Earth, and in a comedy about four gay boys growing up in a Baptist community, called Southern Bapt Sissies<$>. She’s also returning to TV in a comedy series about three sisters who are wedding planners, called The Wedding Bells<, on Fox.

Q: Is it true that David Beckham and his wife are going to do a reality TV show? What will it be? — N.W.

A:<$> It’s a possibility. Fox TV has offered the football star and his fashionista wife Victoria — aka Posh Spice — a reality show called Living With the Beckhams and would detail their daily lives as they move to the US for Beckham’s stint with the L.A. Galaxy soccer team. Apparently, they’re considering it but haven’t made a ision yet.

Q: I’m a huge fan of>South Park, but I miss Chef. Is there any chance that Isaac Hayes will come back? — K.R.

A:<$> According to Hayes, no. The popular character — the wise if slightly raunchy school chef/mentor to the four eight-year-old main characters of the show — looked as if he might reappear in slightly altered form, but Hayes has denied any interest in returning. He quit under controversial circumstances — officially, in conflict with an episode making fun of Scientology, which he practices, but also after suffering a stroke, leading some to believe that leaders of Scientology removed him from the show while he was incapacitated. He says now, though, that he didn’t get enough respect or money from the creators and isn’t going back —a real loss of the show’s fans.

Q: Now that they’re bringing in Jack BauerRs family on 24, I’m surprised that Donald Sutherland isn’t playing his father. Did Kiefer not want to share the screen with his famous father? — M.N.

A: Actually, Kiefer tried to get Donald for the role, but the elder Sutherland was in Aualia filming Fool’s Gold, with Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, so he wasn’t available. Actor James Cromwell — who appeared on Six Feet Under<$>, played thermer in Babe<$> and is currently on view as Prince Philin The Queen <$>— is playing Jack’s father instead.

Q: I’m a big fan of Lily Tomlin. What is she doing ne — G.T.

A:<$> The comedian-actress, last seen as the presidential executive secretaryThe West Wing <$>and as Meryl Streep’s character’s sister in A irie Home Companion<$>, co-stars in the upcom drama The Walker<$>, with Lauren Bacall and Woody Harrelson, and is scheduled to start shooting the comedies The Last Guy onrth, Seniors and Barry Munday<$>. She’s also set to star iI>12 Miles of Bad Road<$>, a new series for HBO created by the team behind Designing Women, in which she’ll play a real estate executive and matrch of a Dallas family.

Q: I thought the way they depicted Brian Williams office on 30 Rock was hilarious. But did he really write “Katie Couric Sucks” on his office wall? — K.M.

A: No, of course not. Even though the two news anchors are now fighting it out for ratings (Williams is winning), they’re old NBC colleagues. Everything about Williams’ office was a joke, which he was in on since show creator Tina Fey showed him the script for it, so he was prepared for the mess and the empty liquor bottles. She didn’t put in the Katie Couric mention, though, so that was a surprise to him — one he vehemently denies believing or writing.
