Forum to discuss state of the industry
The World Insurance Forum will have an open discussion on the state of the industry for the first time when the conference ends in Bermuda next month.
The delegates assembly on February 22 at the end of the four day conference in the Fairmont Southampton Princess will allow insurers, reinsurers, brokers, buyers, regulators and analysts to express their views.
XL Re chief executive officer Henry Keeling will moderate the discussion.
He said: "In this industry, it is indeed rare to have a formal venue to share the thoughts and concerns of the entire market.
"Having the opportunity to overlay the many concerns voiced during the forum regarding the future of risk and risk transfer, with examples of experiences in the global markets will make this a very interesting closing session.
"Truly the customer will speak."
Other delegates chosen for the final assembly are AON Ltd. chairman and chief executive officer Dennis Mahoney, Benfield Blanch chief executive officer Rod Fox, BP company secretary Judith Hanratty, Nationwide Insurance vice president corporate risk management and insurance Brenda Ross-Mathies, Rohn and Haas director of insurance Henry Good, Schlumberger risk manager Chris Lajtha and Partner Re chief executive officer Patrick Thiele.
