Man charged with attempted murder

A Pembroke man has been accused of attempted murder and possession of a firearm.

In Magistrates’ Court this morning, Shannon Dill, 23, of Angle Street, was charged with attempting to murder Lionel Thomas on April 30 in St George’s parish.

He was also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause serious injury, a charge Mr Dill’s defence attorney, Charles Richardson, said was “duplicitous.”

Mr Dill was not required to enter a plea as the charges are indictable.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded Mr Dill in custody.

He will appear for mention on May 28.
