Spence's `Daddy's Little Girl' is back by popular demand
ERROR RG P4 12.5.1995 A story in Wednesday's Living section incorrectly called the play "Daddy's Little Girl'' a Gina Spence Production. The play, which is at City Hall, is a Bermuda College drama department production.
The Gina Spence production of "Daddy's Little Girl,'' which ran for two nights at City Hall last month, has been revived by popular demand for three more nights this week.
The play, a highly-charged work that was written by young Bermudian dramatist Mr. Alan Smith and which focuses on the trials of a dysfunctional family, will be staged in the same City Hall theatre tomorrow, Friday and Saturday.
Directed by Mr. Kevin Bean of the Bermuda College drama department and starring Mr. Bean, Miss Shahrzad Murray and Miss Rukiya O'Connor, it starts at 8 p.m. and costs $20 ($10 for children under 12) to attend.
All proceeds from the play, which Mr. Bean has described as "intense'' but nonetheless suitable for the entire family, will go toward sending its teenaged players to an independent acting workshop in New York's Greenwich Village.
Other cast members in "Daddy's Little Girl'' include Miss Tamicka Johnson as a domineering grandmother, Miss Zeudi Hinds as family matriarch Marva and Mr.
Jehrizino Simmons as a boyfriend.
