Island records third road death of 2007

A 30-year old Paget man became the Island's third road death of 2007 yesterday.The accident happened ten metres east of the Tee Street and Middle Road junction, which is known as a frequent accident site and has a sign warning drivers to be careful.

The accident happened ten metres east of the Tee Street and Middle Road junction, which is known as a frequent accident site and has a sign warning drivers to be careful.
The man was travelling west on Middle Road when he lost control of his bike and was catapulted into the air, after colliding with another vehicle. He landed under a car which was also travelling west.
Police were called to the accident at 6.45 p.m. and the Paget man was rushed to hospital.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police did not release his name as the next of kin had yet to be notified.
