A former independent and UBP candidate was today charged with assaulting a man and causing bodily harm.

Tillman Darrell, 48, of Devonshire, assaulted Gregory Dill on March 20 in Pembroke, prosecutor Larissa Burgess told Magistrates’ Court.

Mr Darrell denied the charges as well as an additional charge of wielding an offensive weapon in the form of a beer bottle.

Magistrate Nicole Stoneham released Mr Darrell on $3,000 bail.

He will next appear for mention on May 27.
