An article about war veterans in yesterday’s paper incorrectly quoted Carol Everson as saying that Government had not provided benefits and pensions for veterans and widows as required under the The Pensions and Gratuities (War Service) Amendment Act 2007. Ms Everson, in her speech to Hamilton Rotarians last week, highlighted amendments passed in 2007 and 2009 in aid of the Island’s veterans and widows. The Royal Gazette apologises for the error.
