VISITOR'S VIEW
Save Bermuda waters
October 20, 2002
Dear Sir,
As a three-time visitor to Bermuda I'm sorry to say I don't plan on coming back.
Being a recent cruise ship passenger to your Island (June & October) I was saddened to read the front page article on October 10, 2002 - "Sewage spoils prime beaches".
Especially since my family & I had just been swimming. The knowledge that the Corporation of Hamilton, Elbow Beach, Sonesta, etc. pump raw untreated sewage off shore is enough to keep me from coming back. Not to mention where does all the cruise ship's waste go? Your Island and her people are beautiful - but if I want to swim in polluted water I can do that at home. America has chosen greed/money over our natural resources time and again - are you too?
Save Bermuda waters.

P.s. I would have gladly donated my complimentary $50 shopping credit each cruise towards a sewage treatment plant.
