The board of directors of RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd yesterday voted to increase the Bermuda reinsurer’s quarterly dividend to 27 cents per share on its common stock, from 26 cents per share.The company has increased its dividend during each of the seventeen years since its initial public offering. The dividend is payable on March 30, 2012 to shareholders of record on March 15, 2012.In addition, the board of directors approved an increase in RenaissanceRe’s stock repurchase programme, bringing the total current authorisation to $500 million.
