Second chance to exhibit your bike outside City Hall

Second show: An antique motorcycle on display outside City Hall last Saturday. There is another opportunity for bike enthusiasts to exhibit their machines this weekend.

Modern motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to show off their prized possessions at an outdoor art exhibition this weekend.

The Bermuda National Gallery is staging its second open-air display of motorcycles from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday outside City Hall.

The event — which ties in with the BNG's indoor winter exhibition 'Changing Gears: The Art of the Bermuda Motorcycle' — will feature local custom-built motorcycles, racing bikes, dragsters, motocross vehicles and a chopper motorcycle built by Orange County Choppers.

Curator Sophie Cressall said: "Once again we are asking the public to be involved in this event by either participating in exhibiting their motorcycles or to just come to view the motorcycles on display and learn more about Bermuda's art and culture."

Those wanting to exhibit a bike on Saturday should be at the front of City Hall at 10.30 a.m. Anyone who joins BNG or renews an existing membership before March 15, will be put into a draw sponsored by Cycle Care, to win one of two Sym motorcycles and a customised spray paint.

Museum memberships start at $35. Call the gallery on 295-9428 for more information.
