More improvements for beaches in the pipeline
The beachside cafe at Horseshoe Bay may not be the only tourist attraction to receive an upgrade, the public works minister has revealed.
David Burch said a number of proposals have been put to the Parks Commission, which he said was “the first port of call to go to in order to do something different on the beaches”.
Mr Burch was speaking after Bermudian entrepreneurs Delton Ebbin, Carl Vincent and Devon Simons – together, Horseshoe Bay Live – were chosen as the new leaseholders of the beachside café at Horseshoe Bay.
The HBL team plans a $3.8 million redevelopment of the bar and restaurant..
Mr Burch said last Thursday the proposals received by Parks fitted into a variety of categories.
He said: “Not everything will be a Horseshoe, not everything will be a Shelly Bay, or a John Smith’s Bay.
“We will look at all opportunities and see if we can’t enhance the experience at all the beaches in Bermuda.”
