Rock stars wrote songs here says UK newspaper
ROCK stars Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood reportedly spent some time in Bermuda over Christmas writing songs for a new Faces album, according to the Daily Mirror in London.
Singer Stewart and Wood, who now plays guitar for The Rolling Stones, were both with the Faces in their early years. In fact, this will be the first time they have written songs for the Faces since 1973's Ooh La La.
Wood and Stewart initially announced they were reforming the Faces in November and they have now confirmed that Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist Flea will be joining the reunited band.
Wood revealed that the album was written during a trip abroad he and Rod Stewart took over Christmas.
Talking at the South Bank Awards held at London's Dorchester Hotel on Tuesday, Wood said he and Stewart (pictured) visited Costa Rica, Bermuda and Miami to get inspiration, and then wrote the album's songs in three days.
"I had a great time," said Wood. "It wasn't so much a holiday but a mini-world tour."
They are planning to hit the road this summer with original members Stewart, Wood, Kenney Jones, Ian McLagan all signed on to tour.
