A twinning team!
in twins Patrick and Patrice.
The Primary Six honour students were recently made Head Boy and Head Girl for the new school year. Both students modestly said they believed they were chosen because they worked hard and did well in school.
School teachers describe the ten-year-olds as exemplary, well-mannered students with an excellent attitude toward school work.
"They are helpful and well-behaved both in class and on the playground,'' a teacher added.
The siblings are also kept active outside the school grounds as members of the Olympian Club, a church youth group, and Cavalry Gospel Chapel.
And they both take part in the Menuhin Foundation -- Patrice plays the viola and piano, while her brother plays the cello and piano. Patrice also enjoys gymnastics and shell collecting. Patrick leans more toward sports with cricket, football, and karate.
The pair are certainly well on their way to bright futures.
After consulting with her nine-year-old friend, Patrice said science was her favourite subject in school because it would help her to learn about her chosen job as an "orthopaedic surgeon''.
"My friend said it would be interesting,'' she said.
Patrick shares his sister's love of science, but with a different twist. "I want to work for the Police (as a scientist) so that I can help catch criminals,'' he said. And Patrice had these simple, final words for other young people working toward a dream: "Work hard in school and do your best.''
