A tourist chased a burglar from his apartment after being awoken by noise.

The visitor was sleeping in his Sandys Parish room when, just before 3 a.m. yesterday, he heard the intruder who then ran off with a black leather briefcase containing personal items missing.

The suspect, who is of medium height, wore dark clothing.

Police are also investigating the theft of six aluminium windows from a Somerset Road, Sandys Parish home which is under renovation and the theft of a red generator from the garage of a Keith Hall Road, Warwick residence.

And a thief broke into St. Mary's Church in Warwick overnight Tuesday and stole six bottles of wine.
