Cyclist injures pedestrian
A teenage motorcyclist crashed into a pedestrian after losing control on a bend, according to Police.
Officers attended the incident in Hermitage Road, Devonshire, near the junction with Devon Spring Road, at 6.45 p.m. on Thursday.
The 17-year-old driver crashed into a 60-year-old woman, according to a Police report.
A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "It appears that the auxiliary cycle was travelling north on Hermitage Road when the rider, a 17-year-old Smith's parish man, lost control attempting to negotiate a left-hand bend.
"As a result the auxiliary cycle collided with the pedestrian, a 60-year-old Devonshire woman who was walking along the same road, causing both the rider and the pedestrian to fall to the ground."
Although the man was uninjured the woman received cuts to her right arm, shoulders and head and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
She was in a general ward yesterday where her condition was described as "stable".
Motorist crashes into wall
A man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after his vehicle collided with a wall in the early hours of yesterday.
The 49-year-old man from Devonshire crashed at the junction of North Shore Road and Loyal Hill Pass at 12.15 a.m.
A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "Details about how the collision occurred remain unclear; however, on arrival officers observed a car with extensive front-end damage after apparently colliding with a wall."
The man was uninjured.
Woman arrested after erratic driving
A woman was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after Police saw her vehicle being driven erratically.
The 58-year-old from Devonshire was stopped and arrested in Palmetto Road at 12.50 a.m. yesterday.
A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "Police were on mobile patrol travelling along Frog Lane in Devonshire when they observed a car travelling north on Frog Lane in an erratic manner.
"Inquiries into this incident are underway."
Louis Vuitton handbag stolen in burglary
Burglars got away with jewellery and a Louis Vuitton handbag after breaking into a house in Southampton.
The break-in took place at a property in Riviera Crescent between 11.30 p.m. on Wednesday and 7.30 a.m. on Thursday.
A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "Inquires into this incident are underway."
Wallet stolen from Southampton home
A wallet was stolen from a Southampton home early Thursday morning.
Between midnight and 12.30 a.m., someone entered the Railway Trail home and removed the wallet, which contained cash, and personal items.
Tech items stolen in burglaries
Several technology items were stolen from a Hamilton Parish home.
Police were called to a Radnor Road home and were told someone gained entry to the residence on Tuesday afternoon and stole a Dell laptop computer, an I-Pod, a Wii video game system and a black laptop bag
A home in Warwick was also broken into though nothing appears to have be taken.
On Tuesday Police also received a report of a burglary at a Pearman's Hill West, Warwick residence.
The complainant stated that sometime between 12 noon on Saturday and 4 p.m. someone gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied.
