Men rob senior in broad daylight
A senior was robbed by two men on a scooter in broad daylight in Pembroke at the weekend. The 68-year-old man was walking south along Blackwatch Pass at about 3.30 p.m. on Sunday when the pair stopped on a silver bike.
A Police spokesman said: “One of the men got off the scooter and approached the Pembroke man demanding money. The victim handed the suspect his brown wallet containing $70 in cash and personal items. “Both suspects then made good their escape on the silver scooter, continuing to travel south. The senior was not injured.”
One of the men was dark-skinned, about five feet, eight inches tall and chubby with a round clean-shaven face.
He was believed to be in his late 20s and was wearing a black jacket and silver helmet with a dark peak. The other suspect was black, about five feet, nine inches tall and was wearing a silver helmet. Police are appealing for witnesses, particularly anybody driving past at the time. Anyone with information should call the Hamilton C IU on 295-0011.
