Tourism reports 'excellent' Music Fest ticket sales
Ticket sales are said to be "excellent" for the 15th annual Bermuda Music Festival, which kicks off tomorrow night.
Organisers say interest is high in this year's event, which opens with reggae artist Ziggy Marley on the beach of the Fairmont Southampton.
The smaller venue is a change from years past when it was held at Dockyard and the National Stadium.
Following tomorrow night, it moves to the Fairmont's Poinciana Ballroom.
The venues and the artists are ready, according to organisers Bermuda Department of Tourism (BDOT), Kingdom Entertainment Group and Oxford Communications.
Just over 1,000 concertgoers are expected on each of the three nights.
Angie Stone and Estelle will headline Friday's performance.
Toni Braxton will close the festival on Saturday night.
Reserved seating and general admission tickets are still available for Ziggy Marley, Angie Stone and Estelle.
There are no reserved seats left for the Toni Braxton concert; a small quantity of tickets are available for general admission seating.
HomeGrown and Uzimon are among the Bermudian acts.
After parties are planned following each night's performance.
A spokesperson said: "Admittance is free with a reserved seat ticket stub from the same evening's show.
Internationally-renowned DJ Evalicious, a top fashion model in the 1990s, as well as an actor in films such as 'Pret-a-Porter', 'Unzipped', 'The Fifth Element' and 'Zoolander', will be spinning each night.
"The Thursday night after-party will take place at the Ocean Club, while Friday and Saturday's after-parties will be held at Windows on the Sound."
Tickets, $140 for reserved seating and $95 for general admission, will be available until noon on the day of the show. There will be no tickets available at the door.
