Frederick Haromy scored a first half hat-trick as Robin Hood edged Forties 3-2 in a Commercial League Cup Group A match on Monday night at PHC Stadium.
Haromy gave his team the best possible start, scoring in the 12th, 18th and 29th minutes as Hood held a comfortable 3-0 lead at the half.
However, things changed after the restart as Forties made a game of it with goals from Ronald Simmons and Brian Fubler in the 60th and 63rd minutes to make it 3-2.
The much sought after equaliser eluded Forties as Robin Hood hung on for victory.
In the night's opening match Park United and Fire Service drew 2-2 in a Group B match with Ernest Dillas and Elvis Edness scoring for Park United and Troy Furbert and Andrew Harvey replying for Fire.
The following Mini Minor A Division games have been moved forward from January 21 to this coming Saturday: Somerset Reds v Dandy Town Reds (Somerset 9.00); St. George's Blue v St. David's (Garrison 9.00); PHC Whites v Boulevard Reds (PHC Stadium 9.00).
