BAA Telecom won their fifth league match on the weekend, thumping PHC 7-1 at a poorly-lit BAA Field.
The lights at the southern end of the field were not working but it took just seven minutes for BAA to break the deadlock. Ann Marie Ivanoff took a corner from the right which swung out to Tanya Semos who slotted the ball into the net after a scramble inside the box.
The second goal came at the other end when PHC equalised in the 29th minute.
They were awarded an indirect free kick inside the box due to obstruction by 'keeper Kim Simmons. Lisa Howie, who had an outstanding game in midfield, passed the ball to Lisa Raynor who put her shot around the wall and into the lower left corner.
That was the closest PHC would come as all the other goals belonged to Telecom who regained the lead in the 34th minute through Gail DeMoura. Midfielder Ailsa Campbell crossed from the left and when Raynelle Brangman in the PHC goal could not hold onto the ball, DeMoura was on hand to score.
Ivanoff netted Telecom's third, fourth and fifth goals as she completed a hat-trick in a 12 minute period. In the 35th minute, Ivanoff opened her account following another Campbell cross.
Then in the 45th and 47th minutes she completed her second hat-trick of the season to make it 5-1 for Telecom. Semos added another in the 69th minute after Ivanoff supplied the cross from the left.
To complete a memorable night Ivanoff hit her fourth in the 73rd minute to close out the scoring, beating two defenders before poking the ball past the 'keeper and inside the far post.
