The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index edged up 2.92 points to close at 2,265.98 in moderate trading.

The Bank of Butterfield drove the Index up as it rose 25 cents to close at $32. 50 on volume of 2,500 shares. That offset a decline in Belco shares, which fell 50 cents to $30.50 on volume of 700.

total volume was 27,300 shares worth $433,979.75.
