Sedgwick name Bermudian to lead reinsurance group
Bermudian lawyer Mark Chudleigh has been appointed head of Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold LLP's reinsurance practice group.
In his new role, Mr. Chudleigh will lead Sedgwick's global reinsurance practice, which operates from offices throughout the US, as well as in Bermuda, London, Paris and Zurich.
Neil Rambin, chair of Sedgwick's Insurance Practices, said: "With significant experience representing clients in reinsurance arbitrations venued in the United States, London and Bermuda, Mark is well-qualified to represent Sedgwick's broad and international reinsurance practice group."
Mr. Chudleigh specialises in insurance and reinsurance dispute resolution and divides his time between Sedgwick's London office and its associated Bermuda office, Sedgwick.
In addition to his litigation and arbitration practice, Mr. Chudleigh provides counseling in relation to complex insurance and reinsurance claims and frequently advises in relation to underwriting and claims reviews for reinsurers. He has handled numerous contentious matters, including arbitrations in England, Bermuda and the US.
He qualified as a barrister from the Inns of Court School of Law in 1990, and obtained his BA with honours from the University of Kent at Canterbury in 1989. He has since been admitted as a barrister and attorney in Bermuda and California.
