Bezant from membership in the organisation. Expulsion from the organisation means she can no longer practise as an accountant in Bermuda.

Ms Bezant was found guilty in Supreme Court earlier this year of stealing about $300,000 from her former employer Winter-Cookson, Petty Ltd. She was a financial controller at the company from May, 1991 until November, 1994 when she was fired.

She was sentenced in January to serve 18 months in prison for the crime.
