Saturday's Gulf Coast Triathlon which attracted some 1200 competitors

Doubling as the South Eastern US Championships, the event was over the half-Ironman distance of 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bicycle ride and 13.1 mile run.

Hackenberg came home in five hours, 20 minutes and 40 seconds to finish 264th overall and 63rd in his age group.

Robin Tucker, the sole Bermuda female, finished in 5:59.31 to place 566th overall and ninth in her age group while Brian Peck clocked 6:00.38 to place 570th and 91st in his age group.

RUGBY RUG Renegades rugby club will hold their annual general meeting at National Sports Club on Thursday, May 25 at 7.30 p.m. All members are urged to attend.

VOLLEYBALL VOL Bermuda Volleyball Association's Spring League games will be played this evening at Bernard Park, starting at 5.45.

GOLF GLF Promising junior golfer Robbie Spurling led the field when he fired a two over par 72 at Belmont on Saturday to win the latest Bermuda Golf Association medal event.

A shot back on 73 was Hav Trott with Tony Readwin placing third on 76. The event attracted just 20 players and not a single female.
