Michael DeCosta's new pony, Brittany Gold, enjoyed an impressive showing at the Vesey Street track on Sunday, emerging as the day's only double winner.
Brittany won her first race in 1:09/2 and then came out of post position four to win the second in 1:09/4. She is now headed for the Free-for-All which features the fastest ponies in Bermuda.
Miss L.L. Dane won her first race locally when she was driven to victory by William Madeiros in the second heat of the 1:14-1:16/4 time bar.
Jandie's Giddy Up Go, driven by Christopher Roque, won her race and moves up to the already crowded 1:14-1:16/4 time bar.
Happy Hoe Jr, driven by Nick DeCosta, captured the Noah's Ark Feed and Supply feature race, winning in 1:10/3 to edge out Eddie Roque's Shamrock Formal Attire by less than a second.
Visiting Canadian driver Michael Allard drove Grand Shady to victory in the first heat of the Free-for-All while Murray Terceira and Caroline Jubilee won the second heat.
