will be televised tomorrow night on VSB Channel 4/11 at 8.OO p.m.

The special was produced by Yorkshire Television and has already been beamed throughout England, Ireland and as a build-up to the World Cup, currently taking place in South Africa.

World Rugby Classic president John Kane invited several members of the rugby community to a special screening of the programme last week and it drew rave reviews.

The special takes a look at all the matches in the tournament and offers a behind the scenes look at the popular autumn tournament, the biggest rugby event on the local calendar.

The programme will also be shown in New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the United States.

Kane said the telecast would have an enormous impact on future classics.

"A lot of people have in their minds what the Classic is all about, but they've never been here,'' he said. "They have the sort of thought that the Classic is just golden oldies.

"But when people see the programme they suddenly realise what the standard of the play is. So I think in that respect it's going to have a huge impact.'' The telecast is being shown across the UK on Independent Television, giving the Classic a potential viewing audience of more than 35 million people.

Highlights will also be shown in the Gillette World of Sports, broadcast in 100 countries.
