A female motorist was fined $150 and given six points on her licence for excessive tint on her car windows.

Amy-Lyn Browne, 26, was brought to Magistrates' Court on a warrant after failing to appear on a previous occasion.

Acting Magistrate Nicole Stoneham told her she had three outstanding tickets for having tinted glass on her vehicle.

Browne pleaded guilty to the offences and said she had misplaced the tickets, so missed her court date.

Ms Stoneham asked her: "I take it you have removed the tint?"

Browne replied: "Yes."

Ms Stoneham told the Policemen in court: "If not, officers, she's parked outside."
