Three people were arrested after a Devonshire house raid recovered drugs and a firearm.

A spokesman said an investigation was launched after the house was raided at 6.40 a.m. on Wednesday.

He gave no further details last night and would not comment on reports that one of the suspects was a prison officer. The spokesman also declined to say what type of weapon was recovered.

Under Bermuda law a ball bearing gun or air gun can be classed as a firearm.

[bul]Police last night said they had found a car reported stolen from outside the Renaissance Re building on Wednesday.

The complainant told officers that the silver Rover was taken sometime between 6.15 and 11.30 p.m. from where it was parked in front of the reinsurer, on East Broadway, Pembroke.
