Visitor's View
Dear Sir, We have recently learned of the death of Kingsford Bean. You have lost a wonderful advocate for Bermuda, and we have lost a fine friend. We first knew Kingsford thirty years ago when he met us at the airport and took us to Cambridge Beaches.
We soon discovered that he was an exceptional person, blessed with incredible enthusiasm and an enviable curiosity about the world around him. He could identify every flower, plant, tree and shrub on your lovely island. He was, in a sense, a Renaissance man with a wide spectrum of interest and knowledge.
Kingsford displayed a thorough understanding of Bermuda's history and culture and took great pride in the achievements of his fellow Bermudians. Throughout all of these years, on every annual vacation, we have always enjoyed a visit with Kingsford. We learned a lot, and we laughed a lot, and we will miss him very much.
