Four inducted into Music Hall of Fame
Four music legends became the third set of inductees to the Bermuda Music Hall of Fame at the Shine's Music Studio.
Inducted into the Hall of Fame was the late Mrs. Maude Fox who was, at one point, the only female musician in a 13-piece band.
Mrs. Fox's most notable appearances include performing at a ball honouring the Prince of Wales and being honoured by the Queen with a Certificate of Honour in recognition of her valuable service given to Bermuda music spanning 70 years.
She died on December 5, 1983, at the age of 89.
Also inducted was self-taught drummer Kenneth Smith who founded the Aldano Sextette in 1955; Earl Darrell, a pianist since the age of five, who learned how to read music during the time of the Second World War; and Clarence "Tootsie" Bean who has performed worldwide with a music repertoire which spans more than 60 years.
The event was hosted by Executive Director of the Atlantic Publishing House, Minister Dale Butler. Already inducted are Vernon "Ghandi" Burgess and the late Lance Hayward.
