Striker Nusum returns for Hogges
John Barry Nusum will return to the Bermuda Hogges side tonight for their second game against Crystal Palace USA in Baltimore.
The Hogges striker missed the 3-0 defeat on Sunday after being harshly sent off against Harrisburg City Islanders the previous day, but Nusum will be back to add much needed strength to a small Bermuda squad.
So far the Hogges have only been able to name two substitutes on the bench for the first two games, with Stevie Astwood missing the first game, also due to suspension.
That has meant that for the last two games, Nigel Burgess, the goalkeeper, has been called into action as an outfield player.
Tonight however, the Hogges will at least have some more cover on the bench as they look to take something from an otherwise fruitless visit to the US.
Having failed to get anything from the first two games, and with just one game of the season remaining after tonight, the likelihood of the Hogges finishing higher than ninth is disappearing fast.
Although level on points with Pittsburgh Riverhounds, the team directly above them, they have a far harder run in.
The Riverhounds play Harrisburg tonight, but end their season against bottom club Real Maryland Monarchs on Saturday.
By that time the Hogges' season will already be over, with them playing Palace tonight, and then wrapping up their season at home to Harrisburg, a side they have never beaten, at the National Sports Centre tomorrow night.
