Points bonus for Dandy Town

Dandy Town have been awarded maximum points from a match they lost against relegated Somerset Trojans on the final day of the 2007-08 Premier Division soccer season.

Trojans thumped Hornets at Somerset Cricket Club on March 23 but have been penalised for fielding an ineligible player - for the second time this season.

Somerset's Dwight Basden, who scored in his team's 3-0 victory, played in the match while under suspension.

The veteran striker had accumulated three yellow cards prior to the match which should have constituted an automatic one-match ban.

Earlier this season Trojans were booted out of the FA Cup for fielding an ineligible player. The West Enders' latest transgressions allows Hornets to leapfrog Boulevard and claim fourth-place honours in the final standings.

Hornets take on Blazers in one of two FA Cup semi-final matches scheduled for this weekend.
