November 3, 2011Dear Sir,In the Premier’s Press interview on Sunday, she stated that without her presence as Finance Minister in the Brown Government, Government’s over-spending would have been far worse.This is obviously a cop-out. She was Finance Minister at that time and under the Bermuda Constitution she was in charge of the pursestrings. It was her responsibility and hers alone to ensure there was no overspending, not that there was less than there might have otherwise been.ANNE PEARSONHamilton Parish
