Gibbons, Steede in record stand
Social Club 71 A record unbroken opening stand of 286 between Treadwell Gibbons (106) and Albert Steede (130) was the main talking point of this match at St. John's Field which the home team won by a massive 215 runs.
In reply Social Club could only manage 71 as Arnold Manders took four for 14 and Hasan Durham three for 10 to complete the rout.
Warwick 192 Bailey's Bay 194-2 Premier Division champions Bailey's Bay routed Warwick by eight wickets at Sea Breeze Oval thanks to Jermaine Outerbridge's six for 53 and solid batting by openers Chris Smith and Cal Dill Jr.
Skipper Smith and Dill put Bay on course for victory with a blistering opening stand of 150 and when victory was reached Smith was undefeated on 75 and Dill 89.
Flatts 194 Somerset CC 168-7 Steval Arorash snatched seven for 42 off 15.2 overs and Cordell Gilbert scored a half-century but despite these two fine peformances Somerset were held to a draw by Flatts at Devonshire Rec.
Gilbert led Somerset in batting with 54, Winston Reid hit 28 not out, Shaun Roberts 36 and Brian Williams 24. Troy Dean had three for 33 and Troy Bean three for 61.
St. David's 108 PHC 110-3 Former St. David's captains Allen Richardson and James Pace had a memorable match against their former team when they shared in an unbroken fourth wicket stand of 40 to lead PHC to a seven wicket win at White Hill Field.
Richardson led the batting with 30 not out while Pace hit four fours and a six in his 24 not out.
St. George's 243-9 Police 180-7 St. George's battled Police to a tame draw on Saturday at Wellington Oval.
Louis Foggo scored 84 out of the home side's total of 243 for nine declared.
However his efforts went largely unrewarded as Police, led by Dennis Archer's 97, were 180 for seven at stumps.
Willow Cuts 235-7 Cleveland 69-6 Cleveland's decision to send Willow Cuts in at Somerset backfired, although they at least came away with a share of the points.
Dexter Basden blasted 91 for Cuts and Damon Wade scored 42 as Cleveland were made to toil, staying on the field for 67 overs before Cuts declared at 5.25.
Devonshire 124 Nationals 125-4 Alan Corcoran claimed seven for 33 and then hit 24 in a second wicket stand of 76 with Dennis Trott (57) as Nationals beat Devonshire Rec by six wickets at Nationals.
Southampton 188 Somerset Bridge 149 Andrew Wilson's six for 52 came in a losing cause as Rangers beat Somerset Bridge by 89 runs at home.
Dwayne Steede was high man for Rangers with 45 while tailender Anthony Smith led the Bridge batting with 40. Michael Brangman took three for 17 for the winners.
