Bermuda sailor Sam Stan finished in 19th place at the German National Optimist Regatta which featured 201 boats.

In the nine race regatta, five of the 14-year-old's finishes were in the top ten. His team-mate, 13-year-old Hannah Horsfield, came in 140th position with her best finish coming in the second day of racing when she placed ninth.

Stan and Horsfield have both been working with world-renowned Opti coach Ziz Staniul from Poland, who has been running clinics in Bermuda for a number of years.
