Police are hunting down two armed robbers who demanded cash from Mr Chicken Express near the junction of Upland Street and Watlington Road East in Devonshire.

According to a Police spokesman, officers responded to a report of a robbery in progress shortly after 10pm on Friday.

“It appears that two males entered the establishment and brandished what appeared to be a firearm and a bladed article and made demands of money,” the spokesman said. “However, their attempt was unsuccessful and they made good their escape.”

The spokesman said yesterday afternoon that officers were still actively pursuing all leads and avenues of inquiry in the case.
