Runners and walkers looking for a fast five-mile race course are encouraged to enter Swan’s Running Club’s upcoming ‘5 Flat Miles’ road race.The point-to-point event starts outside West Pembroke School and follows North Shore Road all the way to the finish line at Shelly Bay parking lot.In past years the annual event has seen a number of swift times due to its relative flatness.Prizes will be awarded to the men’s and women’s winners and the first three amen and women in each age category for the road race and also to the first three walkers to cross the finish line.Entry forms are available at Sportseller in Washington Mall and online at www.racedayworld.comThe event is on Sunday, March 3, with walkers setting off at 8.30am and runners at 9am.
