Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. dropped 7.28 percent (55 cents) to $7 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange on the same day that Butterfield Bank suspended trading in its shares yesterday.

BCB traded 3,700 shares, while Butterfield Bank also saw 62 preference shares change hands, but its share price remained unchanged at $200,

Elsewhere the Ascendant Group Ltd. was up 2.9 percent (45 cents) at $15.95, as 600 shares were transacted.

The Index, as a whole, was up 2.68 points (0.14 percent) at 1,910.41, with 4,300 shares worth BD$35,470 and 62 shares worth US$75,502.22 traded.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 5.96 points (0.6 percent).
