WHH plunges 24%

West Hamilton Holdings Ltd. dropped 24.52 percent ($3.25) in a tough day's trading on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

The company, which is currently developing Belvedere Place in Hamilton, closed at $10, having started the day at $13.25, with 12,887 shares traded.

Butterfield Bank also fell five cents (0.46 percent) to $10.70, as 890 shares were transacted.

But Belco Holdings Ltd. bucked the trend, rising 50 cents (3.33 percent) to $15.50, with 730 shares changing hands.

Other traders included BF&M Ltd. (1,300 shares), Devonshire Industries Ltd. (50), KeyTech Ltd. (21) and Argus Group Holdings Ltd. (two).

The Index, as a whole, finished down 7.87 points (0.23 percent) at 3,421.44, with 15,878 shares worth $172,056.50 traded.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, was up 7,22 points (0.83 percent) at 866.9.
