Crown counsel Nicole Smith told the court that the charges resulted from the execution of a search warrant at the Sandys property on January 21 2009.

According to Ms Smith Police carried out the warrant at 6.35 a.m. After identifying themselves as Police and explaining the warrant, they asked Lowe if he had any drugs on him.

"No, but there are drugs in the kitchen," he said.

Police then entered the kitchen where they spotted several potted marijuana plants in varying degrees of development. Lowe claimed responsibility for the plants, claiming they were for his personal use.

A K-9 unit was then taken to the residence to continue the search. With the assistance of the sniffer-dog Police entered the bedrooms of each individual, uncovering a pipe and cannabis seeds in Lowes room.

A metal pipe, wooden pipe and grinder in Jones' room and the final glass pipe in Young's room.

All three men admitted guilt at an early stage, identifying the items as theirs' and signing Police evidence bags containing the paraphernalia.
