Dear Sir,
Please allow me extend my heartiest congrats to our national football team, the boys did Bermuda proud by defeating much fancied Trinidad & Tobago 2-1 in their world cup qualifier in Trinidad.
No doubt the 'soca warriors' will be pulling out all the stops on Sunday at the National Sports Centre on Sunday but I believe if Bermuda fans turn out in record numbers we can spur our team on to victory and into the next round.
While the national team savors victory it appears the Bermuda Hogges after a promising start to their season have gone into a slump, once again I encourage the owners of that franchise to bring national coach Kenny Thompson and Technical Director Derek Broadley on board, I think it would be a win-win situation for both teams.

Dear Sir,
I take a week off from surfing the Gazette website and look what happens: Trinidad & Tobago 1 Bermuda 2.
As Sir Alex Ferguson famously blurted out after Manchester United's improbable 1999 Champions League final win over Bayern Munich by the same scoreline: ''Football. Bloody hell.''
Well done Kenny Thompson, well done John Barry Nusum, well done Timmy Figureido, well done old warrior Meshach Wade and the defence, well done Bermuda and best of luck on Sunday.
