A total team effort was how Lady Rams coach Jeremy Salaam described his side's display as they cruised to a comfortable victory over Dandy Stars in the Freisenburch-Meyer Cup final at Wellington Oval yesterday.

Dominique Richardson grabbed a brace along with goals from Kristin Thomas and Naquita Robinson for Lady Rams who in truth never looked like losing the match.

After the game, Salaam said teamwork and effort were the reasons they were victorious, not just because of individual skill.

"What you saw today was a total team effort on our part," said Salaam.

"We came with a plan and it was well executed.

"We have a very strong team here with a mix of youth and experience.

"Basically, I tell them every week that the coach can't play and that we have to put into practice the things we train.

"So as far as executing and so forth, it was a tremendous effort.

"We will build on this and hopefully carry this momentum into the season."
