Good Morning America...from Bermuda!
Hurricane Igor was the lead story on the news programme Good Morning America yesterday.
A crew from the popular ABC show which has more than four million viewers across the States were filming at John Smith's Bay yesterday.
The footage will also be used on World News with Diane Sawyer.
Correspondent David Kerley said: "We came in Thursday night and filmed a lot of the preparations on Friday and Saturday. We were actually out in the storm. I think there was some interest (in the US) because it was looking like it was going to be much bigger than it was. It was the lead story this morning on Good Morning America."
Among the others who went down to look at the storm-swept bay on South Shore was Marva Burch, who lives across the road.
She was relieved that the storm was not as bad as predicted.
"God is good. I've got a tired head and fish in my yard, but I'm good," she said.
Ms Burch managed to collect some of her soggy mail, which had blown out of her box in the storm, and said she would have to remove sand from her roof, which collects there by the bucket-full in storms.
