Colts regain top-spot
St. George's Colts 1 BAA 0
St. David's 0 X' Roads 1
Wolves 2 Young Men's Social Club 0
A late Jelani Carlington goal pushed St. George's Colts back to the top of the First Division league table as they claimed their second victory in the space of four days against BAA at BAA Field on Tuesday night.
With a game in hand over St. David's, Colts went into the match knowing that a slip up by their East End rivals would see them go to the top of the table.
And they took their chance after St. David's shock 1-0 defeat to X'Roads at Devonshire Rec. also on Tuesday night.
Eugene Calder struck for X'Roads to get his side the three points.
Colt's now lead the standings by a single point over St. David's.
They are six points ahead of Somerset Eagles who play tonight, although Eagles have two games in hand.
Also at Devonshire Rec., Wolves claimed their second victory of the season as the beat Young Men's Social Club.
Goals from Russ Ford and Lamelle Paynter pushed Wolves to victory at home.
After the latest results, BAA are bottom of the table, three points behind Wolves.
