Burgess fires Reading to another win
Bermuda international Tyrell Burgess continued his rich vein of goalscoring form to inspire Reading Rage to a 2-0 victory over Northern Virginia Royals.
The winger found the back of the net for the second successive game with last Saturday's win strengthening the Pennsylvania-based side's position at the top of the Mid Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference.
Burgess, who signed for the Rage at the start of the season, has contributed with three goals and two assists so far this campaign.
The Rage, formerly coached by Bermuda Football Association technical director Derek Broadley, are next in action on Friday against Fredericksburg Gunners.
Fellow national team player Taurean Manders helped his Bradenton Academics to a 5-2 win over Atlanta Silverbacks Under 23s last Friday.
Both the Rage and the Academics play in the United Soccer League's (USL) Premier Development League (PDL).
