Jeneya Wade-Fray and her Great Britain team won their first EuroBasket qualifier of the season with a 72-63 victory in Germany on Tuesday night.

Head coach Tom Maher was full of praise for Bermuda's Wade-Fray, who starred for the University of Tennesee Chattanooga last season.

"It's a really great experience for our young team, once again Azania (Stewart) competed really well and Jenaya (Wade-Fray) made a couple of shots down the stretch."

Wade-Fray will be pursuing a Masters Degree in sports exercise psychology at Sheffield Univeristy in the UK.

She is also looking to play professionally with the Sheffield Hatters while training with the 2012 British Olympic Basketball team.
